PARADISE, ACCORDING TO AIDA

On an island in the middle of the Atlantic, where the ocean meets ancient lava shores, Aida walks into the sea each morning like a woman answering a call, a tender meditation on one Azorean islander’s unbreakable devotion to the volcanic island that holds her, and a quiet reminder that belonging to a place is the deepest peace a person can know.

This film was made as part of a unique production and filmmaking experience, led by Werner Herzog in the Azores Islands in January 2026.
