I am excited to announce that our first funding has come in to produce shorts that will contribute to the full film through the Arts Connect Grant – facilitated through The Arts Center of the Capital Region – and supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, and New York State.

This round of funding will help to purchase equipment, storage and travel expenses to film footage within the Capital District and surrounding locales in the Adirondacks and Hudson Valley.  This footage will be used in shorts that will explore aspects of our changing winters here in the Northeast, as well as community responses and perspectives to these changes – with an emphasis on addressing climate anxiety and concerns. 

I am truly thankful for this amazing opportunity and hope that it inspires others to contribute to this film and the events and community engagement projects that I hope this project ignites as I move through the process of creating it.
